Here’s my Q3 unwrapped ::
Q3
I enjoyed reading So I Met His Guy which was about a woman who was conned into thinking she was loved but the plot twist was unexpected. I rate it a 8/10 because I felt like I was on the journey with them even though at some point I was like AGAIN?!I also read Confessions of a Forty-Something ****** (currently reading the sequel.) I’m still reading 101 Essays and started re-reading Teach Me To Pray.
skincare finds, I'm (still) trying to find new skincare products that work. I discovered CosRx salicylic acid wash (like the texture), vitamin C serum and moisturizer, Aramiiii(best black soap ever and I love black soap) at Beauty Hut.
teas on rotation, (still) haven't really been in my usual tea mood but I found this Immune support blend by Twinnings from my parent’s stash
I watched the new Spider-Man movie at the Cinema with TY and I think SpiderMan is tired. Nobody Wants This on Netflix got my attention through the preview I thought the plot was dynamic (Rabbi loves non-Jewish woman = interesting) then Dr. House I started because I needed another medical show and I cannot do Grey’s Anatomy again I don’t even know the last episode or season I watched and do not care to remember. Grey too is tired. Dr. House on the other hand is a knocked but brilliant and pained diagnostic doctor with the craziest sense of humor. Most recently started Everwood and also about a doctor (this a pattern?) who moved from New York to Colorado offering free medical care because life got hot.
art-design spotlights I came across this compilation of architectural masterpieces and I’d spotlight Frank Lloyd Wright’s work on the house here although I do question the bed size and frame. Additionally, I’ll spotlight Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show from a creative direction perspective and finally, this Geoponika greenhouse designed to keep exotic and endangered plants. I think what was fascinating with this botanical treasure was the dedication to the work of keeping a greenhouse. I don’t think I can watch over plants with that much devotion.
en repetition looking to Jesus by Dunsin Oyekan, this worship session by Godley Abel, Come and Behold by Upperroom
personal highlights early Q3 we completed the first phase of Lantern, an African word guessing game under Paintmilk, the MVP was hard to do honestly, we’ve paused on development for now (need to get some things in my life ironed out) but you can test it and share a review!
more that’s being paused is DESIGN! I’ve been thinking about it since last year and I’ve decided — I’ll be taking a design sabbatical in 2027.
Celebrated my birthday in custom Paintmilk Patterns silk chiffon dress and got a surprise I did not see coming.
Most importantly, picked up the traditional mediums again. I’ve been obsessed with watercolor and ink; really just grateful to be painting again and enjoying the process.
It was a loaded quarter in more ways than one but I’m grateful to God and all the people in my life.
Que my favorite season of the year, Q4!🤸🏾♀️
