Gbemi Olugbenle is an artist, designer, poet and innovator.
Her work spans across visual systems and identities, product-service strategy, and the unglamorous but essential work of design operations and systems.
On the art front, she works across painting and poetry, using abstraction, image, and language to explore experience, memory, and perception. Her practice is rooted in contemplation and the act of paying attention. Making is a way of understanding what it means to live from the inside.
Gbemi founded Paintmilk Studio, a creative practice dedicated to pushing boundaries by blending creativity with precision. She recently led the studio through a structural pivot - from service delivery to original creative production.
Now, she is focused on making original work, designing objects that function as art and experiences that stick.
Gbemi also host Conversation & Colors, part podcast, part written Substack twin, which she likens to a creative therapy room where creatives get honest about process, beliefs, and the stuff nobody puts in their portfolio.
